Biography – Who is GF and What is his Integrity and Misconduct Experience?

Why should you hire GF to represent you during an integrity/misconduct case?

Gianfranco

GF brings over a half-decade of experience in the research integrity and misconduct field to your case. This includes owning and overseeing the Canadian precedent-setting research integrity proceedings, the Asa v. UHN family of cases – representing UHN – Canada’s largest academic research institution. The result was a series of hugely favourable decisions for the institution and the state of research integrity in Canada. In total, GF owned and oversaw over thirty (30) integrity cases at UHN which involved implementing the UHN Policy 40.90.001: Responsible Conduct of Research and Integrity framework in which concerns included fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and academic dishonesty among others. In addition to this direct case related experience, GF was also a participant at the U.S. Office of Research Integrity – Research Integrity Officer (RIO) – Boot Camp in Chicago in August 2018 – which allows him to bring significant insight into how integrity and misconduct cases are handled both in the US and in Canada. Finally, and above all, with his MSc-MBA-JD educational background, GF brings the unique ability to synergistically evaluate concerns through a legal-business-scientific lens to this role. Integrity concerns are often multi-faceted and involve many stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds. As such, GF is well-primed to represent you during integrity and misconduct matters.
